How You Can Help
Friends of Falmouth Dogs is a non-profit corporation run by volunteers with the assistance of the Animal Control Officers of the Town of Falmouth. We rely solely on public support to operate our adoption program. All contributions are tax-deductible. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Friends of Falmouth Dogs respects the privacy of its donors. We do not sell or exchange any individual donor information.
Monetary Donations
We frequently receive gifts in memory of a family member, a beloved pet, or simply in recognition of someone's birthday or other significant event. Contributions can be brought to our facility at the Animal Control Center, 150 Blacksmith Shop Road, or mailed to P.O. Box 438, Falmouth, MA 02541.
If you wish, you may use the PayPal buttons below to send us a donation. You will be able to leave a note to us as well to indicate a donation in someone's memory or whatever you wish to let us know.
Contributions
We always welcome contributions of dog treats, toys, canned dog food, laundry detergent, and most importantly, the gift of a volunteer's time. Our needs may vary at different times during the year, so we update our wish list regularly.
Wish List
- Gift cards to Wal-Mart, Stop & Shop, Shaw's, Staples, Waquoit Feed & Grain, or Falmouth Pet Center
- Purina dog food (adult and puppy)
- Greenies®, pigs' ears, and peanut butter
- Laundry detergent (unscented), bleach, paper towels, and other cleaning supplies
- Nylon collars with plastic clasps (all sizes) and leashes (6 ft. +)
- Martingale collars - all sizes, but especially medium
Volunteers
Friends of Falmouth Dogs relies on volunteers to accomplish its mission. If you have a particular talent or if you simply love dogs, we can use your assistance. Volunteers (who must be at least 18 years old) are always needed to help exercise the dogs and spend time socializing them.
There is also laundry to be done, other housekeeping chores, yard maintenance, and dog supplies to be sorted and stored. We are open two hours a day and we encourage volunteers to come on a particular day of the week on a regular schedule if possible.
Foster Homes
Temporary foster homes are periodically needed for those dogs that are not suited to kennel living. This may include elderly canines or puppies too young to stay at the shelter, dogs recovering from surgery or in need of medical attention, or dogs that can't be left alone for long periods of time.
Coffee Fundraiser. For all you dog lovers and coffee lovers, here's a great deal. Purchase coffee from Muddy Paw and help Friends of Falmouths Dogs. We get $2 for every bag or tin purchased.
